Meet Lee and Dawn.

On December 5th, 1933 the 21st Amendment was signed repealing the 18th Amendment, ending prohibition in the United States of America. Imagine a time when alcohol became legal again, and those that enjoyed imbibing were no longer criminals. In the current renaissance of craft cocktails and craft distilling, we celebrate the same spirit of ’33 that allowed an entire generation to once again celebrate openly, without sobriety.

Based on our passion for quality spirits and cocktails as well as our love of travel, we envisioned a business that would help like-minded cocktail and craft spirits connoisseurs around the world come together to enjoy the craft. Our goal is to provide the largest user base for members of the craft spirits and cocktail community with a website and application where we can share our experiences and help others research and celebrate the best cocktails, bartenders, cocktail bars and craft spirits.  We do this through professional and interactive customer reviews and serve as a resource for enthusiasts, venues, bartenders, craft spirit makers, and you!

I bring a passion for the art of making craft cocktails coupled with a key sense of what makes a great spirit or cocktail. I have sought out the best spirits, cocktail bars, and cocktails around the world and have learned a lot from the best in the industry. I have a deep attention to detail and have studied this craft, from the classics to the newest and most creative. I have an unending curiosity for what makes a great cocktail or spirit stand-out from the crowd. I look forward to bringing my years of experience to you through the Spirit of 33.

With over 10 years of industry experience, I bring a flare for understanding what is going on beyond the glass and the presentation. To me, there is an art to creating a good cocktail that starts with the distiller, is enhanced by the ingredients and is perfected by the presentation of an experienced bartender. I pay particular attention to the flavor pallet of the drinker and combine that with the experience being sought out by my clients. The Spirit of 33 allows me to bring my vision to our community by providing quality evaluations, international experience and a keen sense of the creative mixing of quality drinks.
